Jaren is doing well. His threesome is now down to two! Do you think he's taking it personal yet? Na, his spirits seem to be good. One of his companions went home to have double ankle surgery. . . poor guy! Jaren now has a full set of bunks that are empty in his room. He doesn't know if they will fill it or not before he leaves.
He's continuing to have wonderful experiences in the referral center. Some guy broke down and said that he has been searching for a long time for the truth, and that he felt he needed the video he had seen advertised. He told Jaren he has a Book of Mormon that he has been reading for six months when he gets a chance. When Jaren asked if he would like to have representatives (we know what that means. . .) come by and bring the video to him, he actually said yes! Jaren says most say no and they just mail whatever it is they are interested in to the caller.
Jaren is looking forward to his good friend, Kendrick, and a friend from our last area arriving at the MTC on the same day in a week. His friend from our last neighborhood is going to Germany, also, and Jaren's hoping they will be in the same branch. Maybe he will be a new bunk mate!
The letter this week was short, so sorry there isn't a lot of news.
We missed Kendrick's non-farewell-farewell because of a MAJOR road closure! Sorry, Kendrick. Have a great mission. You have been a great friend!

Oh, sad that you missed Kendrick's farewell. Was the 1-80 closure really that bad? I had heard about it on the news, but I had no idea! I guess that's one good thing about living in Provo. We come up the OTHER way! :) Jaren sounds good. He must have been REALLY busy this week since your letter was so short. We didn't get one. I need to write him.
I-80 westbound was closed from 4:00 p.m. Saturday til 4:00 p.m. Sunday. We were sooo disappointed! They are doing the other direction this weekend from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Not sure how it will affect us because we are going to Cedar for the weekend for grandma C's funeral and might need to get to bountiful where the plane is.
